Это вызывает существенное ухудшение зрения, а также при отсутствии лечения рискует стать необратимым и привести к слепоте.

Формы

Исходя из объемов крови относительно стекловидного тела, выделяют три формы гемофтальма:

тотальный (> 2/3);
субтотальный (1/3 — 2/3);
частичный (< 1/3).

Кроме того, он может быть передним, срединным, задним или смешанным — по локализации сгустков крови.

Причины

Подобное кровоизлияние может произойти по ряду причин. Наиболее распространенными являются:

Разрывы новообранных сосудов. Чаще всего гемофтальмом по этой причине страдают диабетики и пациенты с посттромботической ретинопатией.
Разнообразные травмы — от проникающих ранений глаза до сильных сотрясений.
Осложнения офтальмологических операций.
Отслоение или разрывы сетчатки.

Также причина может крыться в болезнях кровеносной системы (включая серповидно-клеточную анемию и рак крови), а также общесоматических заболеваниях, например — артериальной гипертензии (хроническом повышении давления).
